SCHOTT CERAN® certified by TÜV Rheinland

SCHOTT CERAN® certified by TÜV Rheinland
SCHOTT CERAN® was certified for its environmental friendliness by TÜV Rheinland in 2011. TÜV Rheinland is a neutral and independent third-party that tests, follows up on and certifies products on the basis of legal requirements, relevant performance benchmarks and standards. By receiving this certification, SCHOTT AG has once again set environmental standards.

The TÜV Rheinland label is issued for glass ceramic cooktop panels that are constantly tested for hazardous substances and whether they are suited for being used together with foods. Products that bear this label are tested independently based on the criteria that apply for glass ceramic cooktop panels.

SCHOTT CERAN® was validated by UL Environment

german innovation award, schott ceran cooktop
CERAN® is the very first glass-ceramic cooktop panel to have been awarded the UL Environment Environmental Claims Validation.

UL Environment is a business unit of UL (Underwriter’s laboratories) whose mission is to advance global sustainability, environmental health, and safety by supporting the growth and development of environmentally-preferable products, services, and organizations.

In this case, UL Environment provided third party validation that CERAN® was tested for the presence of arsenic and antimony, both of which are dangerous and toxic.

The UL Environment Environmental Claim Validation mark is a well-known and trusted label, especially in the United States and demonstrates the absence of these hazardous substances in SCHOTT CERAN®.
