Mechanical Technician


The Job

Function: Repairs, maintains, and adjusts a variety of operating and manufacturing equipment in the Pharmaceutical Packaging plant.

Typical responsibilities will include:
-Troubleshoots equipment breakdowns and performs mechanical and pneumatic maintenance.
-Repairs, rebuilds, adjust, inspect and monitor production and/or facility related equipment and machinery.
-Uses independent judgment and critical thought processes to analyze, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and machinery.
-Reads and interprets blueprints, technical manuals, pneumatic schematics, and equipment specifications.
-Provide guidance to less experienced maintenance technicians, as needed.
-Interacts constructively as a team member in a team environment, supporting team goals and objectives.
-Provides technical support to engineering team on equipment installations and projects.
-Perform electrical troubleshooting of circuits from low voltage signals up to 480 VAC.
-Updating of SAP maintenance module or equivalent computerized system.
-Works independently with minimal supervision.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
-Follow cGmp practices.


The Qualifications

-Education: Technical / Trade School Certificate or Military training in Electrical or Electronics Systems, Industrial Controls or Manufacturing Systems or Mechanical Systems.
-Experience: Minimum 3+ years experience in a maintenance/repair related field. Must have experience with variable frequency drives, servo drives and servo indexers.
-Basic Qualifications: Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling or moving of equipment and machinery up to 60lbs.
