Technical Service and Product Manager PV

The Job

Responsible for the following activities:

•Conducting product workshops and technical training with customers
•Initiating product changes
•Systematically analyzing relevant competitor products
•Monitoring and analyzing relevant market needs and the development of technologies, materials, production processes, norms and guidelines
•Initiating and developing product benchmarks and improvements
•Analyzing customer complaints
•Executing and evaluating product tests
•Issuing product specifications and profiles for new products
•Managing or supporting product development projects in cooperation with development
•Planning, initiating and controlling product certifications

This position will require some domestic and international travel.

The successful candidate will have excellent presentation and communications skills. He or she will have the ability to work in teams and effectively communicate across cultures and at all levels of organizations. Proficiency in one or more foreign languages would be beneficial. He or she will have a performance- and business-driven mindset and excellent interpersonal, leadership and analytical skills. He or she should be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently. Computer literacy skills with MS Office software and SAP are required.

The Qualifications

Qualifications include an MBA with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry or physics and 2-3 years of experience in product management in the international B2B market for complex technological products or equivalent education and training. Basic knowledge of photovoltaics (technology, production processes, value chain, system technology and applications) and energy management, construction, architecture, equipment engineering and cost accounting are preferred. Technical vocational training would be advantageous.
