Process Engineer


The Job

Main Tasks

-Ensure compliance with government regulations such as OSHA, FDA, etc.
-Develop and document electrical schematics, software and hardware for equipment and processes.
-Involvement in innovation, design, development and programming of control systems for automated manufacturing equipment.
-Provide production engineering activities around the innovation, design, purchase, fabrication, installation and debugging of machinery.
-Serve as point person for coordination and oversight of engineering drawing revision controls.
-Participate in engineering and production functions to achieve overall objective of the plant. -Ensure the targeted volume of products is produced within budget while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping.
-Instruct and train employees per established guidelines and maintain good housekeeping practices.
-Establish operating parameters and ensure that processes operate within these parameters. Change parameters as required to ensure products are manufactured within control limits and specifications.
-Work with Quality Assurance to ensure timely validation of new and existing equipment and processes.
-Prepare and recommend layouts for cost reductions, feasibility studies, facility rearrangements, equipment modifications and building construction at the local plant level.
-Acts as technical liaison between manufacturing facility in Germany and Pennsylvania.
-Willingness to travel 30-50%. Travel time will taper off eventually.
-Perform other duties as assigned.


The Qualifications

Education: Four Year Engineering Degree
Experience: 5-7 years Manufacturing/Production
Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Proficient with AutoCAD. Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
