Developing employees is one of the most important tasks of SCHOTT managers, since we have the aim to internally recruit the majority of our future leaders and experts in order to retain our competitive know-how in the future.
For supporting our managers in employee development, SCHOTT uses a systematic process worldwide for identifying internal candidates as successors for key positions. For example, SCHOTT creates succession pools based on the assessment of individual „performance & potential“.
As part of succession planning, individual development measures (training, project responsibility, international assignments…) are defined to help prepare these internal candidates for future tasks. SCHOTT enables talents to participate in groups as Early Career Talents, Senior Management Talents and Executive Management Talents.
These programs also provide the opportunity for international exchange and for creating a personal network.
