04-14-2009, SCHOTT North America, Inc. SCHOTT Appoints Defense Manager for Protection As Company Expands its Line of Armor Systems |
April 14, 2009 (SPIE Defense, Security & Sensing Show in Orlando)— SCHOTT today announced the appointment of Roy McCallum as Defense Manager for Protection. Mr. McCallum will be responsible for armor related business development for SCHOTT in North America.
Mr. McCallum brings his 23 years of experience in sales and marketing in the aerospace and armor industries, most recently at GKN Aerospace Transparency Systems, to SCHOTT’s defense business.
“SCHOTT has a reputation for bringing a broad portfolio of high-tech solutions for the defense industry,” said McCallum. “SCHOTT is continuing to advance the material technology for protection, and I’m proud to be part of a team that keeps our military personnel safe.”
For more than forty years, SCHOTT has supplied the defense market with advanced technologies. The company’s product range, ready to serve the defense and security industries includes fiber optics, optical and filter glasses, glass and glass ceramic for armor and hermetic packages for protecting sensitive electronic components.
SCHOTT’s DiamondView Armor Products (SCHOTT DAP) will unveil its transparent armor system at SPIE Defense, Security, and Sensing exhibition today (Booth 929).
