HelioJet SpectrumCC LED aircraft cabin lighting solution to take off for the first time with SAS

Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) and Lufthansa Technik (LHT) have signed a contract on delivery of the HelioJet LED lighting system. The specialty glass and lighting expert SCHOTT and LHT are marketing HelioJet together. SAS is now the first customer to place an order for the new LED aircraft cabin lighting system. This cabin lighting solution is part of a comprehensive cabin modification program for seven Airbus A330/A340 aircraft that SAS will be executing over the next few months. The first aircraft equipped with HelioJet is expected to fly at the beginning of 2015.
Consisting of just a few elements, the system can be integrated into cabins of every size. HelioJet is flexible enough to enable the light to be controlled by the airline cabin crew using an integrated touchscreen with Graphical User Interface.

The latter will be integrated in the existing Total Component Support which Lufthansa Technik is already providing for the A330/A340 fleet of SAS, making the technical support for HelioJet as easy as possible for the customer.”
