Cooking the way they do in Asia – with the CERAN Wok^® Appliance

"Eating is as important as heaven" is an old Chinese proverb which illustrates the major role eating plays in the lives of Asian people. Since this Asian philosophy is increasingly gaining ground in the western world, the wok, as the most frequently used Asian cooking utensil, has naturally gained some importance. To help gourmets in successfully preparing sophisticated oriental delicacies with the ease of accustomed western standards, SCHOTT has developed the CERAN Wok^® Appliance.

To offer the home appliance industry a choice of solutions, SCHOTT has developed the CERAN Wok^® as a tabletop appliance and as a built-in appliance for induction heating. Asian-style cooking in the CERAN Wok^® Appliance means that only the ingredients needing the most heat come into contact with the hottest spot in the middle of the wok. The other ingredients cook at a lower temperature around the edges.
