Miracles become reality through ROBAX® Magic
|
Due to their thermal, physical and chemical material properties, ROBAX® Magic glass ceramic panels are intended for use as a resistant exterior cover for stoves and fireplaces.
The additional reflections of the flame backlash, minor soiling and the easy cleaning of the glass ceramic panels make ROBAX® Magic a genuine alternative to the conventional materials used for the interior lining of combustion space.

Temperature/time load
Temperature/time resistance
The temperature/time resistance establishes the minimum specifications for permissible temperatures for pre-defined stress times, below which no thermally induced tension cracking occurs.
The temperature/time resistance for even temperature distribution over the entire glass ceramic panel is shown in the following table.
Material characteristics for ROBAX® Magic panels if heated homogeneously:
|
| Stress temperature Thom |
Stress time |
700° C
750° C
775° C
800° C
825° C |
> 6000 h
> 750 h
> 275 h
> 100 h
> 35 h |

Remark:
When ROBAX® Magic is used, inhomogeneous temperature conditions on the panels appear.
Due to the manifold influence factors it is impossible to provide a precise estimation of the temperature stress which occurs.
|
Coefficient of mean linear expansion
α (20, 700 °C) < 1,0 x 10-6 / K
Specific heat capacity
cp (20, 100 °C) ca. 0,8 x 103 J / (kg ·K)
Heat conductivity
λ (90 °C) ca. 1,6 W / (m·K)
Resistance to temperature gradients (RTG)
Resistance of the panel against internal temperature differences.
No cracking due to thermal stress at temperature differences T ≤ 650 °C
Resistance to thermal shock (RTS)
Resistance of the panel against thermal shocks, if for example the hot panel
is quenched with scavenging air or by mechanical contact.
No cracking due to thermal stress at temperature differences T ≤ 650 °C
