SCHOTT TopPac® prefillable syringes are made of a lightweight, transparent polymer
SCHOTT TopPac® prefillable syringes are made of COC (cyclic olefin copolymer). The ready-to-fill syringes are break resistant, light weight, and transparent with a glass-like appearance. SCHOTT has more than 10 years of experience with COC material for pharmaceutical applications. SCHOTT TopPac® prefillable syringes are available from 1 ml to 50 ml.
SCHOTT TopPac® syringes show excellent barrier properties, no ion or heavy metal release, and a lower particle level than glass. The high moisture barrier enables the long-term storage of drugs – even in small containers. Terminal sterilization (autoclaving) after filling is possible.
The integrated luer lock of SCHOTT TopPac® prefillable syringes offers superior robustness and ease of application for the final user. High design flexibility allows customized solutions. Components for a complete set of SCHOTT TopPac® syringes are available according to customer requirements.
SCHOTT TopPac® prefillable syringes are packed in nests and tubs, like glass syringes. They can be processed on all common syringe filling lines.
The prefillable polymer syringes comply with international quality standards such as USP, EP and JP.
SCHOTT TopPac® syringes can be delivered as complete sets, according to customer requirements.
The integrated luer lock offers superior robustness (ISO 594).
COC syringes are ideal for packaging and administrating a broad range of pharmaceutical compounds, such as:
Biotech/biopharmaceutical drugs
Highly viscous products like hyaluronic acid
Diluents like water for injection (WFI)
Contrast Media
Toxic products
Wide pH range products
Vaccines
Veterinary drugs
SCHOTT TopPac® syringes are produced on state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment with advanced in-line inspection systems.
Fully integrated clean room production
The production of SCHOTT TopPac® syringes is a continuous, fully integrated process taking place in a class B clean room. It starts by transferring TOPAS® granulate from silos directly to the injection moulding machines.
Automated assembly technology is supported by in-line process control. Advanced visual inspection technology controls dimensional and cosmetic aspects. Reliable quality systems and rigid quality controls guarantee the consistent high quality of the syringe sets.
