Glass vials from SCHOTT are made of SCHOTT Fiolax^® glass.

Vials from SCHOTT are available in 3 quality options.

SCHOTT offers a broad range of glass vials from 1 ml to 100 ml with different neck finish designs (crimp neck or screw neck), with European or American blowback or without blowback. They are available in clear or amber SCHOTT Fiolax^® glass. This is a pharmaceutical borosilicate Type I glass with best properties in terms of chemical (e.g. hydrolytic) resistance and stability of medicines. The glass vials from SCHOTT can be sterilized, they are absolutely impervious to gas, and they show very good temperature resistance.

Our vials are offered in three quality options TopLine, ClearLine and StandardLine - all according to European Pharmacopoeia, US Pharmacopoeia and Japanese Pharmacopoeia - and subjected by an Automated Inspection System.

For very sensitive pharmaceutical products, SCHOTT recommends inside-coated vials for liquid drugs (SCHOTT Type I plus®) or for lyophilization (SCHOTT TopLyo^®).

All vials are produced according to industry standards (DIN vials) or according to customer specifications. In addition to injection vials with special designs (dual-chamber vials for separated storage of two components, vials with special design for freeze-drying applications like SCHOTT TopLyo^® or OptiVial™ with its uniquely shaped bottom for very small filling volumes), SCHOTT also offers tablet vials and perfume sample vials.
