MICROCROWN
for microscopic slides of exceptional clarity
MICROCROWN is a highly transparent crown glass with an extremely low iron content and is characterized by color neutrality.
MICROCROWN belongs to the "optical crown glass" family. The outstanding features of this product include:
Virtually free of any color deterioration due to its high transparency and colorlessness
Excellent internal glass quality with very few bubbles or inclusions
Ultra high spectral transmission
Superior cutting and grinding characteristics
Very good wettability on both glass surfaces
Spectral transmittance
MICROCROWN is marked by high transmission in the total UV-A spectrum. This is a decisive factor for using MICROCROWN in fluorescence microscopy.
Optical Properties:
The refractive index of ne = 1.5251 ± 0.001 is finely adapted to our cover glass for microscopy, D 263M. As a result, unwanted reflections are eliminated and high-definition images become possible.
Chemical Properties:
The excellent chemical properties of MICROCROWN enable prepared slides to be stored and analyzed for longer periods of time.
