AF 45^™

AF 45™ Applications

AF 45™

The thin glass type AF 45™ is an aluminoborosilicate glass which is produced by the down-draw technology, enabling production in a very thin thickness range between 0,05 and 0,5 mm. It is alkali-free in synthesis (however, contents of alkali oxide up to 0.2 weight percentages are possible by contamination of the raw materials and refractory material).

This glass type is suitable for applications where the following properties are mandatory:

Alkali-free in synthesis Low coefficient of thermal expansion High temperature resistance High transmission Smooth fire-polished surface AF 45™ is available in many different thickness as stock sheet as well as customized glass such a square or round wafer.
