Flexible Operator C- LFB- 1st Shift

Our Business Unit Lighting and Imaging offers challenging lighting and image transmission solutions for applications in the markets of automotive, aviation, medical devices, as well as industrial and safety engineering. With production units in Europe, North-America and the worldwide SCHOTT sales organization Lighting and Imaging is a leading supplier for fiber optic components.

Your tasks

The Flexible Operator C performs a variety of assignments and work functions in the LFB operation as directed by the technical supervisor. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Performs and becomes competent in 1 of 3 of the processes used to manufacture leach fiber bundle. See matrix M543.
  • Completes labor sheets, routers, log sheets, process forms and similar reports and forms.
  • Performs basic maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
  • Follows established process specifications and procedures.
  • Observes all safety rules and regulations.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains housekeeping practices per departmental 5S program.
  • Able to meet utilization targets and standard times  .
  • Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer.
  • Maintains daily records, including labor sheets and routers.
  • Complies to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Conducts other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Your profile

  • High school diploma or equivalant.
  • 1-3 years experience on the job or in a manufacturing field.
  • Good manual dexterity and excellent hand/eye coordination.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written; able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Ability to work with all personnel within the organization.
  • Ability to support department, corporate policies and goals.
