HEATAN™ Sensor Feedthroughs
Enabling simpler sensor designs for ultra-high temperature applications
HEATAN™ high-temperature sensor feedthroughs from SCHOTT perform reliably in extreme conditions, including temperatures of 1000°C (1800°F) and above. Made using a unique material combination and sealing technology, they enable the development of next-generation sensor designs.
Surpassing high-temperature challenges with less components
HEATAN™ sensor feedthroughs are a single-component solution for applications of 1000°C (1800°F) and beyond. While conventional sensor sealing assemblies are based on multi-component designs requiring several manufacturing steps to achieve the required high temperature properties, our customizable and easy-to-integrate sensor feedthroughs can be assembled using a simple sealing process.
The reduced number of components and process steps means a significant reduction in our customer’s internal engineering and purchasing efforts, benefitting from a simple and economical “fit & forget” or drop- in replacement solution.

Unique glass-ceramic technology offers superior high-temperature & corrosion robustness
By integrating feedthroughs from SCHOTT into high-temperature sensor designs, customers benefit from excellent temperature & corrosion resistance:

Superior mechanical stability

Temperature cycling

Corrosion resistance
Combining the advantages of glass and ceramics
SCHOTT’s revolutionary glass-ceramic sealing technology combines the best of both material worlds: the“glassy” part of the material enables a direct seal with metal or ceramics. The “ceramic” part gives it the high-temperature edge.
